Providing Fire Prevention and Protection service to The City of Brazoria
and the surrounding Community Since 1947


Welcome to the Brazoria Volunteer Fire Department web-site. The Brazoria Volunteer Fire Department (BVFD) provides fire protection and emergency rescue services to the City of Brazoria and surrounding community in southern Brazoria County. The department was established in 1947 and has provided emergency response to a growing community. Today our fire department services a population more that 2,800 in the City of Brazoria and an additional 13,000 in the surrounding area of Brazoria.

BVFD has 27 active firefighters with a combined total of 287 years of experience. BVFD has 16 Basic certified Firefighters, 7 intermediate Firefighters and 4 Firefighters with advance certification. BVFD response averages 250 emergency calls per year.
